DeltaCure 2026

HCRU & Costs (Wong et al.) A retrospective analysis of nearly 2,000 commercially insured U.S. patients with hepatitis delta virus (HDV) found that those who progressed to decompensated cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma, or liver transplant had significantly higher inpatient/outpatient visits, hospital stays, and healthcare costs than patients with noncirrhotic disease. The findings reinforce the importance of early HDV detection and treatment to limit disease progression and reduce the associated economic burden.

MYR301 Fatigue Analysis (Buti et al.) An exploratory analysis of the Phase 3 MYR301 trial found that long-term treatment with bulevirtide 2 mg produced a statistically and clinically significant improvement in fatigue (measured by the Fatigue Severity Scale) over 144 weeks in patients with chronic hepatitis delta. The benefit held regardless of cirrhosis status, with both subgroups surpassing the threshold for a clinically meaningful improvement.
